The new building was later reconstructed in the Neo-Classicist style. From 1990, after the building reconstruction that lasted for eight years, the theatre has two halls, the great hall (450 seats) and the small hall (150 seats) which present local plays, visiting theater productions and concerts. The germ of Klaip?da drama theatre is considered to be 1935, when Šiauliai city theatre was moved to Klaip?da. As Klaip?da State theatre it was operating till 1939, annexation of Klaip?da region. The group of Lithuanian actors was led by Juozas Stanulis, an acting studio was operating too. (Theatre manager Gediminas Pranck?nas, art chaperon Povilas Gaidys). The Klaip?da drama theatre building was closed for reconstruction on February 1 (2007). Theatre administration and actors are dealing the issues where to rehearse and present the performances. However, the theatre does not end up the activity; it invites people to the performances and accepts the artistic directors to create new projects.www.exploring.eu9
