Regions need to foster local/regional merging knowledge creativity and the Cr t Creative Growth project will deliver evidence-based knowledge and best practices to: d Enable regional policy authorities to make informed decisions to stimulate creativity Improve means to support creative entrepreneurs Catalyze creativity by creating a network of creative regions Results Improved policy making processes on The creation of a European Network of regional and local level by adopting evidence-based policy making. Increased number of business support Creative Regions for long-term collaboration. The exchange of experiences, joint services and solutions tailor-made for SMEs in the creative sector and higher quality of the services provided by business support actors. Why the creative sector? The creative sector includes several sectors such as media/digitals, advertising, arts and craft, music and cultural heritage. The creative sector is regarded as part of the emerging knowledge economy, where the exchange of services has a growing impact. This is why 11 regions have decided to cooperate to exchange experience on the potential of this sector, to accelerate regional economic growth. The Creative Growth project is one of the first projects with an interregional approach and a European dimension. learning and dissemination of good practices is the interregional added value and the project results will contribute to increased European competitiveness. Europes future success lies in boosting its citizens creativity and innovation, and building a long-term knowledge economy, rather than focusing on short-term technical and economic solutions.
