Maybe thats why this particular period in our joint history continues to fascinate us. Its been almost 75 years since the war drew to a close, but the interest is still alive and well and understan in Skørping. Niels Erik Vangsted was shot and Poul Kjær Sørensen imprisoned and short after executed as the first Danish member of the resistance movement. The killings led to strikes and riots in Aalborg, from where the public discontent spread to the rest of the country.
