ADVERTORIAL Cphbusiness Lyngby offers hands-on teaching far away from the classic classroom. Students take advantage of the latest tech solutions and get advice on how to convert their good ideas Teaching from the blackboard is a thing of the past. Creative and innovative tech solutions abound, and to keep up with the outside world a modern educational institution needs to constantly keep up with the latest developments. Cphbusiness must get students ready for a rapidly changing labor market. Cphbusiness Lyngby does not want to be a traditional educational institution. Instead, efforts are made to give students hands-on tools and learning experiences, the idea being to motivate and at the same time match the needs of the labor market. For example, a media lab and workshop have been set up to make students use new tech solutions, which are also freely available for use after class. Students have access to 3D printers and an electronics room, not to mention a workshop for making models out of wood, LEGO and other materials, all based on software and artificial intelligence. Opportunities are everywhere. For instance, students starting up their own company can experiment with 3D-printed prototypes, said Michael Huss Svejstrup, Head of Innovation and Technology at Cphbusiness. We constantly evaluate our physical learning environment to make sure the design encourages students to try out new technology and digital tools for film projects, pitching ideas and the like. The sky is the limit. The aim is to play around and make things happen through experiments. We strongly motivate our students to give their ideas a go, and we back up their attempts to implement their business ideas and unleash their creativity, said Svejstrup. The aim is to play around and make things happen through experiments. We strongly motivate our students to give their ideas a go, and we back up their attempts to implement their business ideas and unleash their creativity. Michael Huss Svejstrup, head of Innovation and Technology at Cphbusiness. Facts about CPHBUSINESS In Denmark, entrepreneurs are scarce, and we want to help create more. About a third of our 600 or so first-year students say that they could easily imagine starting up their own business. As a business school our finest task is to help them make that possible. While still in school they can take the first steps in our safe environment. At Cphbusiness we put emphasis on supporting students who aim to start a business, be it on their own or with others, thanks to our vibrant start-up environment for students, said Michael Huss Svejstrup. Cphbusiness Lyngby offers educational programs within IT and multimedia, innovation and entrepreneurship, auditing, sports management and marketing. From cocoon to full-fledged company The Cphbusiness study programs and creative environments aim to foster an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset among its students. We invite all students into our Ideator, which is an incubator for students who have a business or project idea in mind. We guide them and spar with them on how to move forward with their idea. Or maybe give up on it, pivot and think differently, said Michael Huss Svejstrup. Once the ideas are sharp and concrete, students can apply for help from Inkubatoren and get on track to creating a real business model. Inkubatoren gives students access to coaches and experts. It gives them the opportunity to spar and share their experiences with fellow students who are also in the midst of establishing their own company. As an inclusive and modern educational institution, we hope this approach helps start up some of the companies Denmark needs to live off in times to come, Michael Huss Svejstrup concluded. Anyone who wants to give their inner entrepreneur a chance can go to Cphbusiness for the best possible conditions to make the dream come true.
